My Top 10 Movies of All Time

After six months of being back on my blog, I wanted to celebrate by telling you guys my top 10 movies of all time. As you have been learning about me thus far, you know that I am obscure as hell, so don't expect to see classics like Godfather, Star Wars, or The Treasure of the Sierra Madre on this list. These are my picks for my top 10 movies of all time, and these are pretty general, so please don't come at me for not having a universally loved movie on this list.
So, without further ado, here is:

10: Clue
Based on the game, 1985's Clue is an amazing game-to-movie adaptation. With the idea of a murder mystery turning it into a comedy was a fantastic idea. The jokes are so fast and so good. The multiple endings are so funny when played back to back, and when the true mystery is revealed it is *Chefs kiss*. The late Madeline Kahn is so great as Mrs. White, especially. Everyone talks about Tim Curry, but Madeline Kahn needed to get her dues for this movie. If you haven't seen it, do it! It's so good.

9: Robin Hood Men In Tights
If you know me well you know I love Mel Brooks, and my introduction to his work was Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Carey Elwes, just coming off of his Princess Bride romp, is comedically amazing. The now-controversial Dave Chappell was also really good. The jokes are so funny though most of it is dated, it in a way is still timeless. I can't quite explain it, but I love it so much that it's on my top 10 list.

8: Bugs Bunny and Road Runner Movie
Also if you know me, you know I absolutely adore Looney Tunes. My introduction to it is my 8th choice for my top ten, The Bugs Bunny and Road Runner movie, a compilation of shorts that they turned into a movie. It varies between the Bugs Bunny, Daffy, and Road Runner shorts, teeing towards more Bugs and friends than Road Runner, but it is so good and a great introduction for anyone who's not too familiar with the Merry Melody gang.

7: Snoopy Come Home
The first Peanuts movie to get a theatrical release was my introduction to the non-holiday Peanuts movies. Though I didn't see it in the theaters because I wasn't alive in 1972, I did watch it a lot growing up on VHS, and it is a part of my love of Schulz's Peanuts work. The music was written by the Sherman Brothers (they also did Mary Poppins and a lot of Golden Age Disney music), the acting, and the animation are so iconic and so good! Thurl Ravenscroft as the deep voice singing "No Dogs Allowed" is so iconic! If you haven't seen this movie, go on Apple + and watch it.

6: The Incredibles
The first movie I remember seeing in the movie theaters at five years old was Pixar's The Incredibles. I fell in love with it completely, wanted to be Violet for Halloween (I was not), and I really enjoyed the sequel 14 years later. I can quote Helen and Violet's lines from the movie to this day. The depth of stakes this movie goes for a family movie is really dark, and it's awesome. As I grow older I recognize the adult themes this movie was going for and did really well. And for that, The Incredibles deserves this spot.

5: Mary, Queen of Scots (2018)
A great historical fiction movie based on the feud between Mary, Queen of Scots, and Queen Elizabeth 1 was a great watch and one that I will love forever. Sure, is the movie not historically accurate? Of course not. No historical movie is. But if you'd enjoy seeing two prominent figures of history meet though it didn't historically happen, you will enjoy this movie. Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie are amazing in their roles, and I wish they both won awards for this movie.

4: Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings
This was the movie that made me fall in love with the MCU. Note, I only saw 5 or 6 MCU movies before Shang-chi, and because I didn't watch the others at the time I thought those I saw were fine. For some reason, I gravitated and loved Shang-Chi. It is the best MCU movie besides Winter Soldier. The cast is amazing (I want more Meng'er Zhang, Tony Leung, and Fala Chen.) The story is so engaging and the fight scenes? *Chefs Kiss* It is probably one of the best movies post Endgame, and I can't wait until Shang-Chi 2. It got me into a new franchise, and for that, it deserves to be on this list.

3: 1917
1917 was the first war movie I saw in the theatres. I didn't think I would love it so much. Whenever I think about one of the best movies I've ever seen, 1917 comes into my mind almost instantly. The acting, the story, the camera work! It deserved so much more, and I wish more people saw it. It is definitely not for the faint of heart, though it's not as heavy as most war movies, it does have imagery that could rock some people. Watch with caution. I recommend it wholeheartedly, and it deserves to be on the number 3 spot.

2: The Lion King
I grew up with The Lion King and loved it to death. Watched it every day. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw the VHS I had with the tape not rewound to the beginning, I watched it that much. It was a pinnacle staple of my childhood and know it front to back. All Nala's lines. In fact, I dream of being Nala in the musical one day. For crafting my childhood and being such a big part of my life, the number 2 spot is where it belongs.

1: A Christmas Carol
Were you even surprised? My obsession knows no bounds, and I am okay with that. If you follow me on my Instagram or know me in my life, you know I will devour anything A Christmas Carol and inspect it with a fine tooth comb, I love the story THAT MUCH! I don't love all the adaptations, there are several bad ones, but I think the ones I am mostly talking about when I say A Christmas Carol are the 1970's Albert Finney musical, the Tim Curry 1995 animated version, and the Jim Carrey 2009 version. These are the best versions to me. I love the story so much I own 5 different versions of the book, I try to see a performance of it in my town every year, and I go to the Macy's Dickens Village walk-through at least a few times every year. A Christmas Carol is number 1 for me, and will always be.

That's it guys! What are your top 10 movies of all time? Let me know down below.
